SCOOP: Avatar: Fire & Ash signs 2-week deal with premium multiplexes; advances open on December 5

Reliable trade sources have confirmed that Disney has inked a 2-week deal with premium multiplexes for the film’s showcasing through the Christmas and New Year Period. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Avatar: Fire And Ash will be screening all across the premium multiplexes in 3D format through the festive period, and the distributors in India have inked an exclusive 2-week deal for 3D, IMAX 3D, ScreenX and 4DX format. Given the unheard demand in audiences, the cinemas too have agreed on the same.”

The film arrives on December 19, and Disney plans to open the bookings well in advance. “The pre-sales for Avatar: Fire and Ash open on December 5, 2025. All the contracts are locked, and the makers are confident to score record results in the advance bookings for the year in India.”

Tere Ishk Mein Box Office: Has a superb weekend of over Rs. 50 crores, will surpass Ranjhanaa lifetime in just 5 days

It’s game on for Tere Ishk Mein. The film took a very good start, then jumped decently on Saturday, and has grown even more on Sunday as well to result in a weekend number of Rs. 50.95 crores. This is superb because the last theatrical outing of Aanand Rai and Dhanush, Raanjhanaa, had a lifetime score of Rs. 60.35 crores and now Tere Ishk Mein will surpass it in 5 days itself.

Tere Ishk Mein Box Office: Has a superb weekend of over Rs. 50 crores, will surpass Ranjhanaa lifetime in just 5 days

Of course, a lot has changed in the last 12 years, be it the ticket prices or the scale of release, which means in real value terms, Raanjhanaa numbers would be higher. Still, the manner in which Tere Ishk Mein is currently collecting, even after accounting for inflation it would be much bigger. In fact, though these are early days, the trending so far suggests that this Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer would end up being one of the biggest box office successes of 2025, something not many would have betted on at the beginning of the year.

The stage has been set well now as Sunday collections zoomed to Rs. 19.32 crores and now all eyes are on Monday hold. If it can somehow manage Rs. 8-9 crores, then that would be very good, though practically speaking anything over Rs. 6 crores would be quite good. In fact, it has to be seen that whether the makers would be opting for Blockbuster Tuesday offer for cheaper rates or would it instead retain regular weekday prices since the film is anyways doing quite well as it is.

Note: All collections as per various box office sources

SCOOP: Kartik Aaryan’s third film with Karan Johar is an action entertainer directed by Sandeep Modi

Last week, Bollywood Hungama reported that after Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Naagzilla, Kartik Aaryan has been signed by Karan Johar for the third time. The makers have kept the details of this project under wraps, but we have been able to find information about this upcoming venture.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The film in question will be directed by Sandeep Modi, who has made a mark with acclaimed shows like Aarya and The Night Manager. He, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar were all set to make a war film. However, that movie didn’t materialise for various reasons. Kartik and Sandeep had formed a bond and promised to work together in the future when the right script comes along.”

This war drama was announced on Kartik Aaryan’s birthday in November 2023. It was scheduled to go on floors in 2024 and release on August 15, 2025.

The source continued, “Finally, earlier this year, Sandeep Modi pitched an idea of an entertaining film to Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar. Both were quite impressed by the subject and decided to come on board as actor and producer, respectively.”

Though not much is known about this film, the source said that it’s not a battle saga that Sandeep was earlier supposed to make or even a reimagined version of it. The source said, “It’s a new script and has a lot of action. It promises to present Kartik Aaryan in a new avatar. Also, it would be different from the rest of the other two films that he’s doing with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.”

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Ananya Panday, is a romcom, which is all set to release on December 25. It is directed by Sameer Vidwans of Satyaprem Ki Katha (2023) fame. As for Naagzilla, it is a fantasy comedy which features Kartik as a shape-shifting naag. Directed by Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film releases in cinemas on Independence Day 2026. Kartik would have one more release in 2026 – an untitled musical love saga – co-starring Sreeleela and directed by Anurag Basu.

Sunny Deol and Deepika Padukone are now related

Deepika Padukone’s sister Anisha will marry Rohan Acharya, great-grandson of filmmaker Bimal Roy. The wedding merges Deepika with Sunny Deol’s family, as Rohan is the brother of Drisha, Sunny’s son Karan Deol’s wife.

Sunny Deol and Deepika Padukone are now related

Interestingly, Deepika herself is related to the legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt whose real name was Vasanth Padukone.

Dharmendra was very proud of the fact that his grandson had married into the great Bimal Roy’s family. Now the legend in heaven must be smiling at being linked to another legendary filmmaker Guru Dutt, albeit through a very distant marriage.

Incidentally, none of the Deols would be able to attend the Anisa-Rohan wedding because of the tragedy in the Deol family.

Jaya Bachchan criticises paparazzi’s ‘unprofessional’ behaviour; says, “My relationship with paparazzi is zero”

Bollywood actress and parliamentarian Jaya Bachchan sparked a sharp conversation around paparazzi culture during her recent appearance at the We The Women summit, where she openly criticised the behaviour of photographers who chase celebrities for unfiltered moments. Drawing a clear distinction between responsible journalism and the current paparazzi ecosystem, she expressed strong disdain for the way certain photographers operate in the entertainment industry today.

Jaya Bachchan criticises paparazzi’s ‘unprofessional’ behaviour; says, “My relationship with paparazzi is zero”

Speaking on stage, she said, “I am the product of a media. But my relationship with paparazzi is zero. Who are these people? Are they trained to be representing the people of this country? You call them media? I come from media. My father was a journalist. I have immense respect, tremendous respect for such people.”

She went on to question the professionalism and conduct of paparazzi commonly seen outside airports, restaurants, gyms, and film studios. “Magar yeh jo bahar drainpipe tight, gande gande pant pehen ke, haath mein mobile leke… they think that because they have a mobile, they can take your picture and say what they want. And the kind of comments they pass — what kind of people are these people? Kahan se aate hain? Kis tarah ka education hai? Kya background hai?”

Her remarks instantly struck a chord online, stirring debate among media professionals, fans, and social media users. Many praised her for calling out the lack of training and ethics within the paparazzi system, while others argued that the paparazzi play a key role in shaping celebrity visibility in today’s social-media-driven landscape.

The actress, who has often maintained a private personal life despite her public profession, reiterated that her criticism was not directed at the media at large but at the unregulated and increasingly aggressive form of paparazzi culture that has taken root in recent years. She emphasised the need to distinguish between responsible journalism and casual, often intrusive content creators who blur ethical boundaries in pursuit of viral moments.

Her comments have reignited conversations about privacy, professionalism and the accountability of those who document public figures in India’s booming celebrity ecosystem.

Shefali Shah celebrates 24 years of Monsoon Wedding with an emotional tribute to Ria, watch

Shefali Shah has been one of Indian cinema’s finest performers, an actress whose talent and craft has consistently elevated every story she touches. Over the decades, she has built an enviable filmography with acclaimed projects like Satya, Dil Dhadakne Do, Delhi Crime, Jalsa, Human, Darlings and the list go on. But among her many memorable performances, one film continues to hold a special place even today is Monsoon Wedding, which completes 24 years today.

Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding, a groundbreaking ensemble drama, saw Shefali play Ria, a character whose quiet strength and emotional depth left a lasting impact on audiences worldwide. The film, featuring stalwarts like Naseeruddin Shah, Lillete Dubey, Vijay Raaz, and Tillotama Shome, has long been considered a cult classic in Indian cinema.

The film premiered at the Marché du Film section of the 2001 Cannes Film Festival and later won the prestigious Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival — a rare honour for an Indian film at the time. It was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film and earned over $30 million internationally, cementing its legacy as a global success.

On the film’s anniversary, Shefali shared a heartfelt note on social media, taking her readers back to the shoot, a time she described as one big family coming together. She recalled mornings filled with group yoga, home-cooked breakfasts brought by Lillete Dubey, workshops led by Naseeruddin Shah, and Mira Nair’s focused, collaborative approach. In her post, she reflected not only on the warmth of the set but on how deeply the character of Ria stayed with her long after the film wrapped.

A post shared by Shefali Shah (@shefalishahofficial)

Shefali wrote about how playing Ria was cathartic, though she hadn’t realised back then how the character would go on to become the voice of many women who had lived through similar trauma.

She also shared one memory that has stayed with her for years – an encounter with an elderly couple in Delhi. The woman, who had lived an experience similar to Ria’s, held Shefali’s hands in silence while her husband thanked her for giving his wife the strength to finally speak about something she had buried for years.

As Monsoon Wedding completes 24 years, the milestone isn’t just about the film’s global achievements but also a celebration of Shefali Shah’s ability to bring power to every role. Her journey continues to inspire, and Ria remains one of the most defining performances of her illustrious career.

Sunny Deol won’t keep Esha and Ahana Deol out of family inheritance following Dharmendra’s demise: “There will be no drama, no dispute”

Sunny Deol and his brother Bobby are shattered. Even superheroes have an expiry date. Dharmendra’s devoted sons know that now.

Sunny Deol won’t keep Esha and Ahana Deol out of family inheritance following Dharmendra’s demise: “There will be no drama, no dispute”

Now that Dharam ji is not with us, Sunny sees himself as the patriarch of the family. And he Sunny Deol won’t keep Esha and Ahana Deol out of family inheritance following Dharmendra’s demise: “There will be no drama, no dispute”

is determined to do the right thing by his stepsisters.

A very close family friend of the Deols spoke on Sunny’s behalf to this writer. “These stories about inheritance disputes between Sunny-Bobby and Esha-Ahana are rubbish, and very ill-timed. No one is a pauper here. There will be no drama, no dispute.”

In fact, Hema Malini and his daughters are not inclined to make any demands on Dharam ji’s property.

“But Sunny will not keep them out of the family inheritance. Right now, he is too bereaved to think about the road ahead. But one thing is for sure: Esha and Ahana will be part of the Deol family, as their father would have wished,” said the family friend.

I remember my conversations with Sunny on his father. “My father is my God. To this day, I can’t look into his eyes while speaking to him. His happiness, his consent means the world to me.”

Aamir Khan drops major career update at IFFI 2025: Superstar confirms full-time return to acting after wrapping current films

Aamir Khan brought the final Fireside Chat of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to a roaring conclusion, turning the packed Kala Academy into what felt like an immersive masterclass in cinema. The session, moderated by acclaimed film critic Baradwaj Rangan, was titled ‘The Narrative Architect of Social Transformation and Inclusivity’ and soon turned into a candid, insightful and deeply personal conversation with the superstar.

Aamir Khan drops major career update at IFFI 2025: Superstar confirms full-time return to acting after wrapping current films

Aamir began by revisiting the origins of his love for stories, recalling memories of his grandmother’s tales and the magic of Hawa Mahal on the radio—moments he credits for shaping his creative instincts. “I’ve always been drawn to stories. They were a big part of my childhood, and that fascination has guided every choice I’ve made as an actor,” he said.

What emerged through the session was Aamir’s belief in instinct over calculation. “I can’t repeat myself. Once I’ve done a certain kind of film, I want to move on. I look for stories that feel fresh, unique, and creatively exciting,” he explained. Rejecting the idea of trend-driven filmmaking, he added, “I choose films purely based on my emotional excitement for the story, even if it goes completely against the norm.”

He reflected on how some of his biggest hits were once considered risky. “Most of my decisions have been impractical by industry standards. When we made Lagaan, even Javed Saab advised us not to. By all logic, I shouldn’t have become a star—I broke every rule. But somehow, those unconventional choices connected with people and I’m deeply grateful,” he said.

Aamir clarified that his films with social themes happened organically. “I never select a film thinking about which social topic to address next. I only look for scripts that excite me. If a great script carries a social message, that’s a bonus—not the starting point,” he noted, while crediting writers for shaping the worlds of Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, Dangal and Laapataa Ladies.

In one of the evening’s biggest revelations, Aamir confirmed a major professional shift. “Once I complete the current slate of projects I’ve produced—Lahore 1947, Happy Patel, and a few others—the work on all of them will wrap in the next few months. After that, I’m shifting my focus entirely back to acting from production.” He continued, “From here on, any script I hear will be only for me as an actor. It’s a significant shift, but the right time to dedicate myself fully to acting again.”

He also shared that he is currently hearing new scripts. “Several have excited me—two or three in particular—but I’m still in the process of choosing,” he said.

Aamir touched upon his long-standing desire to direct, adding, “Direction is actually my big love. Filmmaking is what I enjoy the most… But the day I consciously decide to take up direction, I’ll probably stop acting, because it will consume me completely. That’s why I’m delaying that decision for now.”

The session closed with Aamir being felicitated by Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Sanjay Jaju, marking a memorable end to IFFI 2025’s final Fireside Chat.

Farah Khan says she lured heroines with Manish Malhotra costumes for ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ shoot

Bollywood’s iconic song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ from the film Om Shanti Om is memorable for many reasons, but one of its most charming stories comes from behind the scenes. Recently, Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, revealing how they enticed female actors to shoot for the song with the promise of free Manish Malhotra outfits. Farah shared that Manish personally met every heroine to seal the deal, showcasing his dedication and charm in making the star-studded song possible.

Farah Khan says she lured heroines with Manish Malhotra costumes for ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ shoot

Farah Khan reminisced about Manish Malhotra’s key role in the film’s costume design, especially for Deepika Padukone’s looks. Manish fondly recalled his inspiration from the Amitabh Bachchan star-studded song ‘John Jaani Janardhan’ in Naseeb and his dream of having so many actors together, which was realised in ‘Deewangi Deewangi’. “Ironically, ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ gave me that,” said the ace designer.

Farah further added, “‘Deewangi Deewangi’ was inspired by there only. Manish was not only a part of the song, but he also came with me to meet every heroine who was in that song. I had enticed the actresses who featured in the song that Manish would make their costumes, and they could keep them after the shoot.”

On the work front, Manish Malhotra has ventured into film production with his maiden project, Gustaakh Ishq, which is set to hit theatres on November 28, 2025. Directed by Vibhu Puri, this romantic drama stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Vijay Varma, Sharib Hashmi, and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles. The film has already garnered buzz for its soulful music and classic love story. Currently, Manish is busy with the promotions of Gustaakh Ishq, marking an exciting new chapter beyond his illustrious career as a fashion designer.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra brings the house down at IFFI 2025 with unfiltered stories, music, and cinema secrets

The 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) turned into a cinematic whirlwind as acclaimed filmmaker and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra lit up the “Unscripted – The Art and Emotion of Filmmaking” session at Kala Academy. In conversation with celebrated screenwriter Abhijat Joshi, Chopra delivered an afternoon packed with wit, nostalgia, and rare insights that left the audience erupting in applause and laughter.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra brings the house down at IFFI 2025 with unfiltered stories, music, and cinema secrets

The event opened with a felicitation by Dr. Ajay Nagabhushan MN, Joint Secretary (Films), who honoured Chopra and Joshi, followed by noted producer Shri Ravi Kottarakkara. Dr. Ajay expressed his hope that Chopra would continue guiding young filmmakers with his trademark honesty, while Ravi hailed Parinda as a “game-changing film” that rewrote Indian cinema.

Once the conversation began, Joshi recalled the day he first met Chopra—an encounter that eventually shaped films like Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots. He then asked whether Chopra’s filmmaking style had evolved from Parinda to 12th Fail. Chopra responded with striking candour: “Every film reflects who I am at that point. I was angry when I made Parinda. You can see that violence in the movie. Today I’m calmer.”

Chopra added that 12th Fail was born out of witnessing corruption firsthand. “The film was my way of saying, ‘Let’s be honest for a change’. If I can change even 1% of the bureaucracy, that’s enough.” He also revealed that watching 1942: A Love Story in its newly restored 8K format made him emotional, admitting he could not make that film today because he is no longer the same person.

Joshi praised Chopra’s conviction, saying, “He never cares about a film’s commercial fate, he values only its artistic fate,” before prompting Chopra to revisit the creative process behind his classics. Chopra spoke about his relentless pursuit of visual truth and even reenacted a moment from 1942: A Love Story, explaining how he insisted on real birds flying across a mountain ridge. Seeing that scene restored, he said, “was joy.”

The session then shifted into a riot of anecdotes—Chopra recalling how he wrote Khamosh in a one-room flat, shouting “cut, cut!” from the rooftop, and the crowd favourite: Jackie Shroff accidentally entering the wrong apartment during rehearsals and waking a startled woman who later believed she had dreamt the encounter.

Chopra’s musical memory lane continued with the story of R.D. Burman and ‘Kuch Na Kaho’. He recounted rejecting Burman’s initial tunes—“I called it bullshit. I wanted the soul of S.D. Burman”—before singing the iconic melody onstage to thunderous applause. He even revisited his famous National Award incident, joking about expecting Rs. 4,000 in cash but receiving an eight-year postal bond instead, a story that had the hall roaring.

In a moving highlight, 92-year-old Kamna Chandra, writer of 1942: A Love Story and Chopra’s mother-in-law, joined the discussion along with producer Yogesh Ishwar. Chandra said, “I felt like I’ve done something in life,” while Yogesh described the painstaking 8K restoration in Italy. Chopra concluded that the restored film “looks exactly like what I had imagined.”

By the end of the session, it was clear that the audience had witnessed more than a conversation—it was a journey through decades of cinematic passion, friendship, and fearless storytelling.

Prabhas–Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit begins filming; muhurat held in Hyderabad with Chiranjeevi as the chief guest

Spirit, starring Prabhas and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, officially went on floors today, November 23. The team conducted a muhurat ceremony to mark the beginning of the shoot, attended by Triptii Dimri, producer Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Shiv Chanana and megastar Chiranjeevi, who joined as the chief guest. Although Prabhas was present for the puja, he was not seen in the photos shared by the production team.

Prabhas–Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit begins filming; muhurat held in Hyderabad with Chiranjeevi as the chief guest

The film marks Vanga’s first collaboration with Prabhas, and anticipation has been steadily building since October, when the director released a special birthday surprise for the actor. On October 24, Vanga unveiled what he described as a “Sound Story,” an audio-led teaser that sets the tone for Spirit.

The teaser opens with a prison backdrop, introducing a tense exchange between a jailer and his team as they prepare to handle a former police officer-turned-prisoner. The most discussed moment arrives when Prabhas’s voice is heard saying, “Sir, since childhood I have one bad habit,” hinting at the character’s intense personality.

Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is positioned as a large-scale pan-world action drama with Prabhas playing a fierce and uncompromising cop. Triptii Dimri joins him in a key role, adding to the film’s growing buzz.

The “Sound Story,” released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, has already generated significant online engagement. By unveiling the teaser on Prabhas’s birthday, the makers offered fans an early glimpse into what Sandeep Reddy Vanga describes as one of the most ambitious projects of his career.

With filming now underway, Spirit moves into its next phase of production, and further details are expected in the coming months.

Mastiii 4 Box Office: Takes a poor opening, is amongst the lowest in Masti franchise

Mastiii 4 has taken a poor opening at the box office. Not that it was surprising since the advance booking was hardly there and everything boiled down to spot booking. In fact, even the lack of advance booking wasn’t surprising since the adult comedy genre is dead, not just in Bollywood but even Hollywood and hence the very fact that the film was made made many wonder that why was it green lit in the first place.

Mastiii 4 Box Office: Takes a poor opening, is amongst the lowest in Masti franchise

No wonder, the first day collections have come as mere Rs. 2.50 crores and that’s pretty low. The film has good production values and has been largely shot abroad. Yes, there are rebates and all, but still the cost of making is still there and that needs to be taken into consideration. Theatrically, at least Rs. 30-40 crores are still expected from a film like this and if the opening day is any indication, it won’t reach there.

To put things in perspective, the very first instalment of Masti (2004) had opened at Rs. 1.80 crores and there isn’t much to differentiate with the numbers of Mastiii 4 (2025) even though more than a couple of decades have gone by with practically triple the ticket prices. Grand Masti (2013) made the makers believe that the genre is here to stay since it collected a whopping Rs. 12.51 crores on its first day and then entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club. However, the signs of decline were there when Great Grand Masti (2016), notwithstanding the online leak that had happened days before release, struggled with a first day number of mere Rs. 2.50 crores. That film had a lifetime total of Rs. 13.59 crores whereas Masti had collected Rs. 20.28 crores. Mastiii 4 would basically be competing with these films for an eventual lifetime score.

Note: All collections as per various box office sources

Farhan Akhtar confesses Jee Le Zaraa delays shook his confidence as a director: “There are some personal insecurities”

Farhan Akhtar, who is currently promoting his latest release 120 Bahadur, has spoken candidly about the period of uncertainty he experienced while waiting to direct Jee Le Zaraa. Appearing on Unfiltered by Samdish, the actor-filmmaker reflected on how the repeated postponements of the film left him stressed, insecure, and questioning his own abilities as a director.

Farhan Akhtar confesses Jee Le Zaraa delays shook his confidence as a director: “There are some personal insecurities”

The film, announced in 2021 with Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in the lead, was supposed to mark Farhan’s return to direction after more than a decade. However, as the project kept getting pushed, he found himself holding on to a schedule that never materialised.

Farhan recalled, “So my film Toofan was released in 2021, and right after that, I was set to direct a film called Jee Le Zaraa. It just kept getting delayed, and for those two years, I kept saying no to all other opportunities that came my way. I did that because when you have to direct you can only focus on that. If an acting role came, I told them, ‘No, I am soon going to be directing.’”

He added that despite his commitment, the shoot date continued to move. “The date for the film’s shooting just kept shifting ahead. It was such a stressful period because I thought that I was wasting time, and before I knew it, two and a half years had gone by.”

The prolonged uncertainty began affecting his mental well-being, leading him to seek therapy. Farhan shared, “There are some personal insecurities as well. I started feeling that maybe people thought that I wouldn’t be able to direct. It had been 12 years since I had directed a film, and maybe people were doubtful of my skill. When you sit with a therapist and you tell these things, you start realising where all these things are coming from. I didn’t want to say, ‘Let me move on from this film.’”

Since its announcement, multiple reasons have been cited for the delay, including the busy schedules of the leading cast. In 2023, co-writer Reema Kagti had mentioned that the film would go on floors by the end of the year, but the plan did not come through.

With Jee Le Zaraa still on hold, Farhan is now preparing to direct Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh.

SS Rajamouli faces case over alleged remarks on Lord Hanuman at Varanasi launch

Director S.S. Rajamouli has recently found himself at the centre of a controversy following a complaint filed against him by the Rashtriya Vanara Sena at the Saroonagar Police Station. The issue stems from remarks Rajamouli allegedly made about Lord Hanuman during the launch ceremony of his new movie Varanasi. The group claims that the director made rude comments which have wounded the sentiments of Hindus, expressing concern over the casual manner in which Hindu gods are referenced in the film industry.

SS Rajamouli faces case over alleged remarks on Lord Hanuman at Varanasi launch

According to the complaint, Rajamouli’s statements have significantly hurt the feelings of the Hindu community, prompting the Rashtriya Vanara Sena to ask police to take strict action. They insist that robust measures be taken to ensure similar incidents do not occur again, though, as of yet, the police have not taken any official steps regarding the complaint.

The controversy ignited during a challenging night for Team Varanasi at the GlobeTrotter event hosted at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Despite meticulous planning and high anticipation, technical difficulties continually disrupted the team’s attempt to unveil the film’s first look, leaving Rajamouli visibly emotional and frustrated.

Addressing thousands of fans who had gathered from various locations, Rajamouli offered an apology. In Telugu, he shared his disappointment, referencing comments his father, writer Vijayendra Prasad, had made about Lord Hanuman’s blessings guiding the crew. The director candidly stated, “I don’t have a lot of faith in God.” He further explained, “My dad claimed Hanuman would show us the way. I got upset when the problems started. Is this how He helps me?” The speech was interrupted as Rajamouli paused to compose himself.

Rajamouli also emphasized his wife Rama’s devotion to Lord Hanuman, noting that she communicates with the deity like a close friend. He remarked, “Let’s see if my wife’s Hanuman helps us this time,” speaking in a voice that betrayed his vulnerability. Later that evening, just before another attempt to present the movie’s preview, he expressed, “If my father’s Hanuman saved us once, let’s see if my wife’s Hanuman can do it again.” These remarks have sparked significant debate on social media, with supporters applauding Rajamouli’s authenticity and critics demanding accountability.

At present, authorities have yet to issue an official statement or respond to the complaint, but the issue remains the subject of heated online discussion.

From Munni in Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s co-star: Harshaali Malhotra steals the show at Akhanda 2 song launch with her cute stage moment

Nandamuri Balakrishna, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Sangay Tsheltrim, singer Kailash Kher, director Boyapati Srinu, music Director S Thaman, producer Gopi Achanta and many others attended the launch of the song ‘The Thaandavam’ from Akhanda 2: Thaandavam at a multiplex in Mumbai. Everyone from the team came on stage and talked about their experience.

From Munni in Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Nandamuri Balakrishna's co-star: Harshaali Malhotra steals the show at Akhanda 2 song launch with her cute stage moment

Harshaali Malhotra, last seen as the adorable Munni in the Salman Khan-starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), stole the show. She came on stage and addressed the crowd, “First of all, hi to everyone. How are you all doing?” A fan shouted, “We love you,” and Harshaali flashed her million-dollar smile and said, “Thank you!”

She also said, “I was very happy when I bagged this film. I was so happy that after 10 years, I’ll be back in cinemas, that too with the legend of South and India, NBK sir. Hence, I was very grateful.”

As expected, Nandamuri Balakrishna aka NBK came last and entertained the attendees with his replies. He began by discussing his non-film work and starting a cancer hospital after his mother’s sad demise. He talked about each and every person on the stage and his experience of working with them.

Regarding Harshaali Malhotra, Nandamuri Balakrishna said, “She’s very lucky to do this film after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. She has a crucial part and I can’t say much about her role. I just want to speak about this actress, who was the young girl in Bajrangi Bhaijaan.”

NBK then stated, “There’s a child actor with us as well here. Where’s Veda?” Veda Agarwal, who was present at the venue, came on stage. Nandamuri informed the audience, “She was in my other film, Daaku Maharaaj (2025), as well. She’s based in Mumbai.”

Nandamuri Balakrishna asked her, “How are you,” and kissed her cheeks. Veda replied, “I am fine”. NBK turned to Harshaali, “You were of the same age when you worked in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, right?”

He asked Beda Agarwal, “How old are you? Sharmana mat. Tum choti bacchi ho. Bol do!” Veda confidently replied, “I am 9 years old.” Harshaali Malhotra replied, “I was 6 (when I shot for Bajrangi Bhaijaan).”

Nandamuri Balakrishna was astonished by her answer. He then remarked, “But Veda and I shot for Daaku Maharaj 3 years ago. So that makes Veda of the same age (as Harshaali when she worked on her debut film).”

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam releases in cinemas on December 5.
