Harshvardhan Rane, who is currently basking in the success of his recent action romance Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, has officially joined the cast of one of Bollywood’s most popular action franchises — Force. The announcement has generated massive buzz, as the actor revealed his association with Force 3 through a heartfelt post on social media.

Taking to his Instagram story, Harshvardhan shared a photo of himself at the revered Trimbakeshwar Temple in Maharashtra, dressed in a traditional dhoti and performing prayers. Alongside the image, the actor made the exciting revelation, writing, “John Abraham locks Harshvardhan Rane for taking FORCE franchise forward, under him.”

Expressing his gratitude towards John Abraham, who headlined the first two installments, Harshvardhan added, “all i can do at this moment is thank this angel of a man called John Sir, while i look upwards and thank who ever is doing this from up there, cant wait to begin shoot in March 2026. (No other details till i begin the shoot.)”

The Force franchise, known for its high-octane action and emotional depth, first hit theatres in 2011 under the direction of Nishikant Kamat. The film, starring John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza, became a fan favourite for its gripping storyline and powerful action sequences. The trailer of Mastiii 4, the latest installment of the cult comedy franchise, dropped today (November 4, 2025), and within minutes, it stirred mixed reactions across social media. While long-time fans of the series rejoiced at the reunion of Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani, others expressed discomfort over its bold, adult-themed humour.

The trailer, which marks the return of director Milap Milan Zaveri to the comedy space, faced sharp criticism from a section of netizens for its language and suggestive scenes. One journalist called the trailer “ridiculous,” quoting a dialogue to highlight what they felt was a lack of sensitivity.

In the clip, the trio can be seen sitting comfortably on a ‘ro-ro’ ferry heading to Alibaug, with Farah Khan doing what she does best — shooting the moment with her signature tongue-in-cheek commentary. Global music icon Enrique Iglesias’ much-anticipated return to India was marked by both unforgettable musical moments and a shocking theft spree. The Grammy Award-winning singer performed at Mumbai’s MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) on October 29-30, drawing over 25,000 fans to his two-day concert, which kicked off the “Enrique Iglesias Live in Concert – India Tour 2025.”

Amid the euphoria and a star-studded crowd featuring Bollywood celebrities like Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jackky Bhagnani, at least 73 mobile phones collectively valued at Rs 23.85 lakh were reported stolen during the electrifying shows. The thefts, suspected to be the work of organized pickpocket gangs exploiting the dense crowd and high spirits, targeted a range of attendees, including a journalist, hotelier, makeup artist, students, and businesspersons.​

The concerts themselves were a spectacle, with Iglesias, dressed in his signature all-black ensemble, sending the crowd into frenzy with timeless hits such as “Hero,” “Bailamos,” and “Be With You.” Fans’ excitement didn’t wane even on the second night, despite heavy rains that turned the open-air venue into a soggy dance floor, but spirits remained high as Iglesias delighted the soaked audience with an unforgettable set.​

Mumbai Police have registered at least seven FIRs related to the thefts and begun investigating, with officials reviewing CCTV and other security footage in hopes of apprehending the culprits. The incident, while highlighting both the thrilling and chaotic aspects of large-scale concerts, has prompted renewed concerns over crowd security and theft prevention at major entertainment events in the city.​

At 55, R Madhavan looks no more than 40. And now, to play the gaunt and wiry innovator Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, Madhavan has knocked off more kilos from his already-slim deportment.

Speaking exclusively to this writer, Madhavan revealed the secret of his youthful looks. “The secret is that there is no secret. I don’t do anything clandestine to look young. I don’t even pay any attention to how I look, until someone asks about it. I believe in eating, sleeping and living a balanced life. I think starving to look slim is a criminal method of trying to stay young. As for artificial ways of de-aging, they should be strictly banned.”

As for losing additional weight recently, Madhavan said it is the need of the role. “The character I play was extremely slim. If I don’t match up with him in the weights department, I won’t be able to feel and think like the character. What did I do to lose additional weight? Nothing! Just did some extra laps in the pool with my son.”

Madhavan’s son is national swimming champion.

Haq trailer launch: ‘”New mother” Yami Gautam Dhar shot for 32 days without a break,’ reveals director Suparn S Varma

Filmmaker Suparn S Varma, who has previously written and directed acclaimed projects such as The Family Man 2 and Rana Naidu, is now ready to bring another powerful story to the big screen with Haq. The courtroom drama, inspired by the historic Shah Bano case, stars Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles and is set to release on November 7, 2025.

At the trailer launch held earlier today, Varma opened up about the years of research and emotional depth behind the film. “We’ve spent three years researching and writing this film to bring it to you,” he shared, adding, “When someone works with so much clarity and passion, they get the same applause and whistles that we’re hearing here today.”

Written by Reshu Nath, Haq goes beyond the genre of courtroom drama, delving into themes of justice, faith, and equality. Speaking about the motivation behind the film, Varma said, “When my writer Reshu Nath and I started writing and researching, our strength came from the fact that this is a film that needs to be made and talked about. Because these issues, like Emraan rightly pointed out, have been relevant for decades and still are.”

He continued, “It’s time we start having conversations and bring them out. We come from a place of honesty, love, and respect for all our brothers and sisters. And when you come from that space, the audience instantly feels the truth in your story.”

The filmmaker also praised Yami Gautam’s dedication to her role as Shazia Bano. “Yami was a new mother who did not go home even for a single day. For 32 days on set, she didn’t say a single word. On the last day, when I took her final reaction, I saw her smiling as Yami Gautam, not Shazia Bano. That’s when I realized what she had poured into this performance.”

Sharing his admiration for Emraan Hashmi, he said, “Emraan has done so many films; he could easily walk in with overconfidence. But I’ve never met an actor who treats every single day like his first. Both Yami and Emraan came to set like students: hungry, curious, fearless. That energy is infectious. When every person on set is giving their 100%, magic happens.”

Chiranjeevi files police complaint over AI-generated obscene deepfake videos circulating online

Megastar Chiranjeevi has filed a formal complaint with the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police after discovering that AI-generated and morphed pornographic videos falsely depicting him were being circulated online. The actor approached the authorities on October 27, alleging that several websites had published and distributed deepfake content created with his likeness in explicit contexts.

As per an IANS report, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. The actor’s latest move comes shortly after he secured an ad-interim injunction from the City Civil Court to safeguard his image and identity from unauthorised misuse. In his complaint, Chiranjeevi provided details of the platforms hosting the manipulated videos and emphasised the malicious intent behind their creation and circulation.

In his complaint, Chiranjeevi mentioned that the videos were completely fabricated using artificial intelligence, describing them as deepfake pornography that unlawfully manipulated and morphed his facial features and persona into obscene visuals. He further expressed concern over the widespread accessibility of such content, noting that its unrestricted circulation made the offence extremely serious.

The actor maintained that these deepfake videos are not isolated incidents but part of a coordinated and deliberate campaign aimed at tarnishing his reputation. He highlighted that such fabrications have caused severe reputational and emotional damage, threatening the goodwill he has built over decades of cinematic and philanthropic work.

Chiranjeevi also reiterated that his public image, dignity, and integrity—earned through years of contribution to Indian cinema and society—were being targeted through these malicious acts. He has requested the authorities to initiate swift criminal and technical action against all entities involved, along with immediate takedown and blocking of the objectionable material across digital platforms.

The actor’s proactive stance underscores the growing concern over deepfake misuse and the urgent need for stronger legal measures to combat such technology-driven defamation.

Veteran actor Satish Shah passes away at 73

Veteran actor Satish Shah, known for his remarkable contribution to Indian cinema and television, passed away on Saturday, October 25, reportedly due to kidney failure. The actor was 73. While there has been no official statement from his family yet, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took to social media to confirm the tragic news and express his grief.

Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Pandit wrote, “Sad and shocked to inform you that our dear friend and a great actor Satish Shah has expired few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja hospital where he breathed his last. A great loss to our industry. Om Shanti.” His post was soon followed by an outpouring of condolences from fans, friends, and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Satish Ravilal Shah, a beloved name in Indian entertainment, was celebrated for his impeccable comic timing and versatility. He made an indelible mark with his performances in some of the most memorable Hindi films including Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Main Hoon Na (2004), Fanaa (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), among many others.

Apart from his success in films, Shah was equally adored for his television work. He became a household name with the cult classic sitcom Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984) and later the immensely popular Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004), where his portrayal of the witty and endearing Indravadan Sarabhai earned him immense love from audiences across generations. He also appeared in Filmi Chakkar (1993) and went on to co-judge Comedy Circus alongside Archana Puran Singh in 2008.

In 2015, he was appointed as a member of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) society, further underscoring his contribution to Indian entertainment.

As tributes continue to pour in, the industry remembers Satish Shah not just as an actor, but as a performer who brought laughter and warmth to millions of homes.

Your sudden appearance in Thamma brings the house down. To what do you attribute this rousing response?
I think Jana as a character is so loved because he’s the most innocent and gullible one. The audience connects with that innocence and his proactiveness in these extreme situations.

Your character Jana deserves a universe of his own, don’t you think?
I totally second that! (laughs) I’ve been telling Amar bhai (writer-producer Amar Kaushik) and Niren bhai (writer Niren Bhatt). But then, it can’t just be a creative call when it comes to putting money into a film. So let’s wait and watch. Maybe someday — fingers crossed.

When you were asked to be part of Thamma, what was your response?
The response is always positive! I’m just happy to be part of the MHCU (Maddock Horror Comedy Universe). In many ways, I’m lucky that I get to play Jana so often — it helps me build and sustain a relationship with the audience.

When do we get to see you back in the MHCU?
Very soon, hopefully. In Bhediya 2, of course — and maybe in other worlds too. It depends on when Jana is required in the universe!

Do you prefer dark or comic roles?
I don’t know if I prefer dark roles or if I just get those offers because of the evil character I played in Paatal Lok. Nevertheless, I truly enjoy them because they allow me to explore the darker side of my mind — which in turn helps me control it in real life.

Does your success reflect in your bank balance?
Coming from a lower-middle-class household, trust me — what I’ve achieved financially already feels like a dream come true for a working-class Indian family. That said, my bank balance is definitely amplifying with each project, and I’m looking forward to enjoying my money the way the top 1% of India’s affluent class does!

He said, “I’m an entertainer so it brings me so much joy to see people loving and enjoying Thamma and my performance during this big Diwali holidays. When my visionary producer Dinesh Vijan had told me that Thamma was releasing in Diwali, I was thrilled because it was something that I was always wished to happen in my career.”
