In the times when films have struggled to cross Rs. 40 crores mark on their very first day, Dhurandhar The Revenge has done the unthinkable. It has scored Rs. 41.5 crores on its second Friday. Yes, you read it right. This is the ninth full day for the film and still it has loaded so much ammunition that there is no stopping it. Well, at least as yet!
The film has continued with huge showcasing in the second week as well and with huge interest amongst the audiences to check it out only in theatres, the footfalls are just not subsiding. Partial holidays through the week have further helped the film sustain very good momentum, as a result of which the numbers are coming across as extraordinary. This is now also the best second Friday by a distance as Dhurandhar (Rs. 34.70 crores) and Pushpa 2 (Hindi) (Rs. 27.50 crores) have been left really far behind.
What would be really interesting to see from hereon is the kind of jump that the film sees today and tomorrow. While Rs. 50 crores would be comfortably crossed today, what would be of utmost interest is to see whether Rs. 75 crores milestone is breached tomorrow. No film has ever done that in history with the maximum being Rs. 58.20 crores score by Dhurandhar on its second Sunday. Chances are that the Aditya Dhar film will accomplish this on its second Saturday itself which means bigger records are up for grabs by Dhurandhar The Revenge as it adds on to Rs. 690.5 crores that it has collected in its Hindi version so far.
