Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts invites writers to pitch high-concept stories in just two pages

In a move that aims to discovering and nurturing fresh talent, Subhash Ghai-led Mukta Arts Film Studios has announced a storytelling initiative inviting writers to pitch their story ideas in just two pages.

Known for introducing iconic faces like Jackie Shroff and Mahima Chaudhary to Indian cinema, Mukta Arts has consistently been a launchpad for new talent. Extending that very philosophy beyond actors, the studio is now turning its focus to writers encouraging original voices to step forward with powerful, concise storytelling.

At the heart of this initiative lies a simple yet powerful idea – great stories don’t need length, they need impact. Taking to Instagram, Subhash Ghai said, “IF STORY IS A KING – then KING MUST SPEAK IN FEW WORDS TO WAKE UP THE LISTENER. So Mukta arts productions is proud to announce to writers to please pitch your stories in two pages only. To connect with you immediately if it is worth. Adding to this vision, Subhash Ghai further shared, “At Mukta Arts, we have always believed that talent is everywhere, it only needs the right platform and the right voice. Today, we are looking for writers who can surprise us with clarity of thought and strength of ideas, because a powerful story, told simply, has the ability to travel far and stay forever.”

The initiative invites submissions across a wide range of formats, including small budget, high-concept films, OTT series in music, drama, and suspense (Hindi), animated one-hour feature films, mid-budget live action films, high budget marvel science-fictions for theatres.

By opening up to multiple formats, Mukta Arts aims to tap into diverse storytelling voices and ideas that can seamlessly translate across theatrical and digital platforms. With this initiative, Subhash Ghai once again opens the doors, this time to writers, offering them a chance to be seen, heard, and potentially brought to screen.
