Renowned rapper and singer Raja Kumari recently experienced a spiritually enriching moment as she met and performed alongside Sri Sri Ravi Shankar during the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri. The event was a divine confluence of music and spirituality, leaving her with profound realizations about peace, detachment, and the power of devotion.
Reflecting on her interaction with the revered spiritual leader, Raja Kumari shared, “The way he seems unbothered by chaos is truly inspiring. I learned that the more detached I am, the more I can go with the flow and just be a wave in the sea of consciousness. Being around him, I absorbed his frequency and saw the potential for a peaceful life through meditation and spirituality.”
For Raja Kumari, this performance was nothing short of a dream come true. She described it as a deeply personal and transformative experience, blending her musical energy with the divine atmosphere of the celebration. “As a classical dancer, every performance is a manasa puja a form of worship. When I embody Shiva or Parvati on stage, I feel like I am bringing them to life. With my new album, I feel like I’m tapping into that God frequency again through music,” she shared.
The performance was not just an artistic expression but also an act of devotion. “It was a fun, beautiful, and loving experience. At one point, I even called out, ‘Hi, Guru Dev!’ because I love having fun with life. That’s what I’ve learned from being around him he enjoys everything and stays in a state of bliss. That’s something I would love to take away from this experience.”
Raja Kumari’s journey continues to blend art, faith, and self discovery, proving that music is not just an art form but a spiritual bridge to something greater.
