Nick Jonas is revelling in the joys of fatherhood and cherishing every moment with his daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Speaking to PEOPLE at JONASCON, the singer-actor shared insights into his life as a dad, revealing how his daughter keeps him grounded despite his larger-than-life persona in the entertainment industry.
Reflecting on balancing his career with fatherhood, Jonas expressed how being a dad brings an entirely new perspective to his life. “The best part about being a dad for me, and balancing things like this work stuff — and this is hardly work — is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn’t care at all,” he shared with a laugh. His words highlight the refreshing reality check that parenthood provides, reminding him that at home, he is simply ‘Dad.’
The Sucker singer also opened up about how much he treasures spending time with Malti. He shared that one of his favorite activities with her is reenacting scenes from Moana, with her assigning him the role of Maui. “That means more to me than anything else. That time with her is precious, and the fact that I’m just ‘Dad’ when I’m home means a lot,” he added.
