Speaking about this exciting new chapter, Saiyami Kher shared, “As a 14-year-old child, my father knew my love for cricket and had told me to leave school and pursue sport broadcasting. I loved sports but always wanted to finish my education first. From college, I got it acting theatre and then films. But I’m so delighted that I have been a part of this along with the films I’m doing. Sports has always been a backbone of my life, it’s not just something I enjoy watching, but something I’ve actively been involved in for years. Whether it’s playing cricket, marathons, Ironmans or just following games closely, there’s a certain discipline and mindset that sports instils in you, which I’ve carried into my work as an actor as well.”

Saiyami further added, “Being part of this season of IPL is incredibly exciting because it allows me to engage with the sport from a completely different perspective. And I often find myself pitching because I’m sitting with all my childhood heroes watching and discussing the game. From Virendra Sehwag, Adam Gilchrist, Harsha Bhogle, to many more.”

Saiyami continued, “I feel if things are planning well, there is enough time to balance everything you want to do. Along with IPL at Cricbuzz, I have finished two films and I’m training for my 3rd Ironman. I wish I continue this balance and keep staying busy with things I love doing. Films sport and travel.”

She concluded, “What excites me most is how these two worlds – cinema and sports – intersect in terms of storytelling. Both are driven by emotion, unpredictability, and human spirit. Whether I’m on a film set or discussing a game, at the core of it, I’m engaging with stories. And if I can bring authenticity and honesty to both spaces, I feel I’m on the right path.”

As Saiyami Kher continues to evolve and diversify her career, her foray into sports analysis stands as a testament to her dynamic personality; one that thrives on passion, discipline, and the courage to explore new arenas while staying rooted in her craft. On the film front Saiyami will be seen in Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan along with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Universal Pictures India, distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery, is set to bring Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition to cinemas on May 15, 2026. The upcoming documentary celebrates the legacy of one of the most influential bands in music history and traces Iron Maiden’s extraordinary rise from humble beginnings in East London to becoming a global heavy metal phenomenon.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Malcolm Venville, known for his work on And We Go Green and the historical series Grant and Churchill at War, the film is produced by Dom Freeman, who has previously worked on acclaimed titles including Depeche Mode: Spirit in the Forest.

The documentary spans five decades of Iron Maiden’s journey, spotlighting the band’s impact on music and culture. With more than 100 million albums sold worldwide, Iron Maiden remains one of the most successful and enduring names in heavy metal. They never softened their sound or reshaped themselves to suit the music industry. While many metal bands changed their image during the hair-metal MTV era, Maiden simply carried on, unmoved by the moral panic, often called the “Satanic panic”, that surrounded their album artwork. Their songs drew on history, literature, war, mythology and philosophy, subjects rarely found in popular music.”

He further added, “Ultimately, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition is about endurance: a band that refused to follow the changing fashions of music and a global audience that found identity, friendship and meaning in their music. It is the story of a shared culture, built over fifty years, between a group of musicians from East London and millions of listeners around the world.”

With a mix of archival material, personal reflections, and fan-driven storytelling, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition aims to offer audiences an immersive look into the band’s unmatched legacy.

Starring Sanjay Dutt, Aakhri Sawal has quickly become one of the most anticipated upcoming films, with audiences eagerly looking forward to its release. Following the strong buzz around its announcement, the makers unveiled the teaser on Hanuman Jayanti, presenting a never-before-seen glimpse into the history of the world’s largest voluntary organization, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Aakhri Sawal is directed by National Award–winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang. Presented by Nikhil Nanda, the film is produced by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt, and co-produced by Puneet Nanda, Dr. Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey, and Ujjwal Anand. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Utkarsh Naithani. The film is set to release in cinemas on May 8, 2026.

Vikrant Massey recalls Shah Rukh Khan meeting his mother: “She even shed a tear”

Vikrant Massey recently looked back on a memorable moment involving Shah Rukh Khan and his family during an awards ceremony where both actors were recognised. Speaking about the experience, Vikrant shared that his mother had noticed Shah Rukh Khan seated at the venue and hoped to get a picture with him later. Recalling the moment, he said, “She told me, she saw Shah Rukh Khan sitting there. She was like, Sonu, get a photo of Shah Rukh Khan later. Please request him.”

According to Vikrant, Shah Rukh Khan responded warmly and personally walked over to greet his family despite dealing with an injury. “He was so generous. He walked over to her. And he had an injury… he was in that brace. And he walked up to her, my wife. And he greeted them. He spent five minutes with them,” Vikrant said. The actor added that the meeting became especially emotional for his mother. “And the moment he hugged my mother, my mother froze. And she even shed a tear,” he recalled.

Reflecting on why the moment meant so much, Vikrant said, “Because I think that’s the impact Shah Rukh Khan has had on all of us. On a couple of generations, in fact. So, yeah, it was a very special moment.”

His comments highlight the lasting connection Shah Rukh Khan shares with audiences across generations. For Vikrant’s family, what may have started as a simple meeting became a cherished memory. Ek Din Ki Mehfil: Nervous Aamir Khan goes to the loo twice; MESMERIZES audience with his live performance

Aamir Khan, Junaid Khan, Sai Pallavi, director Sunil Pandey, music director Ram Sampath, producer Aparna Purohit and others attended an event named ‘Ek Din Ki Mehfil’ held as part of the promotions of Ek Din in Mumbai. The event was highly memorable for several reasons.

A chunk of the event featured storytellers sharing anecdotes about their experiences meeting that special someone. Vanika was the first on stage, and her chirpy, funny way of engaging the audience set the mood. Nidhi came next and sang ‘Behke Yaar’. Storytellers like Amrita Saluja, Gunjan and Amandeep Singh followed, narrating stories about love, hope, and heartbreak. Meanwhile, Tanmay Maheshwari, Twinkle and Rahul crooned ‘Khwaab Dekhoon’, the title track and ‘Tadapnaa Judaa Judaa’ respectively. Three lucky winners came on stage and they also sang songs from the film. Shreya from Jameshedpur especially received many claps, with the host remarking that everyone in the venue was crushing on her.

Finally, Aamir Khan came on stage and was joined by Ram Sampath, singer Meghna Mishra and Bala from Ram’s team. Aamir raised laughs as he gestured that he wanted to go to the loo. This was the second time in less than an hour that he went to relieve himself and it raised laughs.

Once he was back, Aamir Khan said, “I want to tell the winners that they sung so well. Also, the way the storytellers narrated the stories was so beautiful. I loved it. Each one of them engaged us. I was lost in each of your stories. I hope you all are not going home early. Humein baithna chahiye saath mein!”

He raised laughs as he stated, “I love singing a lot. Baaki jagah mujhe gaane ka chance nahin milta hai. Lekin yeh film maine khud produce ki hai! So, I told them, ‘This time, please let me sing’.”

Aamir Khan pointed towards his Guru, present in the hall, and said, “I have been learning how to sing from Didi for the last 3 years. Aur mujhe bahut maza aata hai. Jo sunte hai, unki guarantee main nahin le raha hoon (laughs)!”

Aamir appeared nervous and asked Ram Sampath if he would be able to perform well. Ram lovingly told him, “We’ve all got your back sir. Don’t worry!” All of a sudden, Aamir Khan looked at Vir Das and said, “Vir, your hair has grown. You’re looking handsome. Show your face to everyone!” Vir got up and his dashing look was appreciated.”

Finally, Aamir Khan began singing the title track of Ek Din with Meghna Mishra, also singing with him. The perfectionist that Aamir is, he nailed it and there was a huge round of applause once he was done.

Aamir Khan then remembered the song’s original singer, Arijit Singh, “We’re missing Arijit today. I wish he was here. He has sung so well.”

Ek Din releases in cinemas on May 1.

EXCLUSIVE: After Bhooth Bangla and Haiwaan, Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan to unite one more time for Tips Films’ next

Priyadarshan is on a roll and refuses to slow down. The veteran filmmaker has been working for more than 40 years and has been churning out films at regular intervals. Last week saw the release of Bhooth Bangla, which is doing decent business at the box office. He has also completed the shoot of Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Priyadarshan has revealed that he’ll be directing two more films – one with Pankaj Tripathi and the other with Mohanlal. And now, it has come to light that the master filmmaker has secretly begun working on one more film.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Priyadarshan is putting together an exciting film and has signed Akshay Kumar for it. It’ll be a typical Priyan entertainer that’ll appeal to the youth and families alike.”

The source continued, “It’ll be produced by Tips Films and this will be the first time that the reputed banner will be working with Priyadarshan.” The untitled comic entertainer marks the second film of Akshay and Tips after Entertainment (2014).

As for Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, both have worked together in 7 films until now – Hera Pheri (2000), Garam Masala (2005), Bhagam Bhag (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), De Dana Dan (2009), Khatta Meetha (2010) and Bhooth Bangla. Haiwaan will be their eighth film together, while the movie with Tips will be their ninth outing. They are also committed to Hera Pheri 3 once the legal issues are resolved.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama during the promotions of Bhooth Bangla, Akshay Kumar praised Priyadarshan and highlighted how punctuality has always been central to their collaborations. He said, “This man is full of discipline. Full of discipline. And that is why we both get along very well. Our 7 o’clock shift starts at 7 o’clock. (By) 3 o’clock, pack-up happens. And life passes comfortably. No tension. He just needs a good producer who brings everything at the right time, and he needs an actor who comes at the right time.”

Accused arrested months after Akshay Kumar spoke out on daughter’s online harassment

A case that first came to light through actor Akshay Kumar’s public disclosure last year has now seen a key breakthrough, with authorities confirming the first arrest in connection with an attempted sextortion involving his daughter.

The incident, which the actor had shared in October 2025 during a cyber-awareness event in Mumbai, involved his daughter Nitara, who was 13 at the time. Akshay Kumar had used the experience to highlight the risks children face on online gaming platforms and the importance of digital awareness.

Months later, in April 2026, police confirmed that an accused has been apprehended. The update was shared by Yashasvi Yadav, Additional Director General of Police, during a cyber-awareness session at R.D. National College.

Speaking about the case, Yadav said, “He (Akshay Kumar) had a very shocking story to share with us. He said that his own daughter was being sextorted. The girl was very brave and informed her parents. Through her parents, we received this information, and that is how we handled the case.”

Akshay Kumar had earlier detailed how the situation unfolded while his daughter was playing an online video game. Initially, the interaction appeared harmless, with polite exchanges from an unknown player. However, the conversation soon escalated when the individual began asking personal questions.

Recalling the moment, the actor had said, “My daughter was playing a video game… you are playing with an unknown stranger. When you are playing, you get a message saying, ‘Thank you, that was great’ or ‘You are doing so good’, very courteous messages… Suddenly, the person said, ‘Where are you from?’ She wrote, ‘Mumbai’. And then everything was normal again.”

The situation took a serious turn when the stranger asked about her gender and later made an inappropriate request. “Then a message came, ‘Are you male or female?’ She replied, ‘Female’. It went on. And then, he sent a message, ‘Can you send me a nude picture of yours?’ My daughter, she switched off the whole thing. She went and told my wife,” he had shared.

The actor had stressed the importance of awareness among children and parents, pointing out how such incidents often begin subtly before escalating. He said, “This is how things begin. This is also a part of cybercrime. People and children get carried away. Extortion money has to be given. There are many cases of suicides. In the digital world, it is very important that our children learn about this.”

Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the accused or the ongoing investigation.

Mona Singh reflects on her Journey: “I had no plan B but acting”

Actor Mona Singh is having a standout year, with a string of diverse projects reinforcing her reputation as one of the industry’s most versatile performers. “He studied with me at FTII. Our friendship is 50 years old. He has worked in many of my films. He is in this one too. I told him, ‘For 50 years nobody recognised you, now finally they have. He is a fine actor. He was always a very good actor. Now he is crossing 70 and getting recognition, but that’s good. He fully deserved it. You can see the spark in him. Even the way he walks has changed. We still keep talking regularly. He has been my classmate from the beginning,’” he said.

Recalling their early years together, Dhawan also shared that the two went through ragging during their time at Film and Television Institute of India.

“When we went there, ragging used to happen,” he said, adding with a laugh that both of them faced it together as students.

Meanwhile, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which features Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, is scheduled to release on June 5, 2026. Dhawan confirmed that Bedi is also part of the film, continuing their long creative association that spans several decades.

Actor Gaurav Gera has spoken about his experience of working with Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, highlighting the latter’s approach to performance and presence on set.

In a recent interaction with India Today, Gera described Ranveer as someone deeply invested in his work. “Ranveer is a superstar for a reason, he is so good at what he does. He’s extremely organised and fully immersed in the character. He takes a keen interest,” he said, pointing to the actor’s focused preparation.

He also spoke about Ranveer’s involvement during scenes, even when he wasn’t required to be actively present. “He didn’t have to be there for cues in my scenes, which often happens on shoots. But he stayed back and remained present throughout. That’s just how he is—completely involved with the film,” Gera added.

He shared that Ranveer instantly recognised him on set. “He tapped my shoulder and said, ‘How are you, Chutki?’ I was surprised because I had a beard and looked quite different, but he still remembered,” he said.

Gera also noted a shift in Ranveer’s on-screen approach over time, especially while playing Hamza in the film. “He’s grown a lot as an actor. There’s a certain calmness in his performance here, which is very different from how people usually see him in public. That controlled energy comes across very strongly,” he explained.

Summing up, Gera described Ranveer as someone who can balance contrasting energies with ease, both on and off screen. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has completed a steady run in theatres and continues to hold its ground at the box office.

Tabu has reportedly added another premium address to her portfolio with the purchase of a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s sought-after Versova locality. According to property documents accessed through Liases Foras, the acclaimed actress has bought a new residence at Godrej Skyshore in Andheri West for Rs. 10 crores.

The apartment is said to be spread across 2,153 sq. ft., making it a sizeable acquisition in one of Mumbai’s most competitive residential markets. As per the available documents, the transaction was reportedly registered on March 26, 2026. SCOOP: Sunny Deol-Aamir Khan-Rajkumar Santoshi’s Lahore 1947 likely to be renamed Batwara 1947

In February 2026, Bollywood Hungama had reported that the makers of Lahore 1947 are looking for a change of title. We have now learned from sources that the film is likely to be rechristened as Batwara 1947.

An article in Mid-Day on April 17 mentioned that the period drama has been tentatively titled as Batwara 1947. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The makers prefer the title Batwara 1947. In all probability, this would be the title of the film once all the stakeholders agree to it. A clearer picture will emerge in a few weeks on this front.”

In February 2026, Bollywood Hungama carried a quote from a source that stated, “Lahore 1947 is based on the famous play ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya’. Since the film is set in the Pakistani city and during the Independence period, the title Lahore 1947 was initially deemed suitable. But now the makers feel that there can be a better title that is apt for the story of the film.”

The film will release in cinemas on August 13, that is, in the Independence Day week.

The play, ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya’, was written by Syed Asghar Wajahat in 1980. The Partition-era story revolves around a Muslim family which migrates from Lucknow to Lahore and is allotted a haveli vacated by a Hindu family. The old Hindu matriarch refuses to leave her ancestral home and she also strikes a rare bond with the Muslim immigrants.

Lahore 1947 or Batwara 1947 is highly awaited as it reunites Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi and moreover, it is produced by Aamir Khan. Aamir will also be seen in the film in a supporting role and it also stars Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal and Shabana Azmi. Due to the stellar team and Sunny’s booming track record (that got a boost with the success of Border 2), the period drama is expected to set the cash registers ringing.

Recently, an Instagram handle put up a news that a sequel to Fighter (2024) is being made and that the film would go on floors this year. On this post, Fighter’s director and one of the producers, Siddharth Anand, commented with an evil eye emoticon. It was seen by many as a confirmation that the piece of news about Fighter 2 is indeed true.

However, Bollywood Hungama has learned that there’s absolutely no truth to Fighter 2 speculations. A source close to Hrithik Roshan said, “There is no discussion between Hrithik and Siddharth regarding Fighter 2. These rumours are baseless.”

Hrithik Roshan recently announced two projects as a producer, under the banner name of HRX Films. The actor has taken up an active role of creatively developing the web series Storm and the comedy film Mess, both backed by Amazon Prime Video. Alongside his duties as a Producer, Hrithik has been busy with the pre-production of his much awaited Krrish 4. Hrithik will be directing the superhero saga, a first for him. He’s also collaborating with KGF and Kantara‘s production house, Hombale Films for an ambitious project.

Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand is busy shooting for King, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Raghav Juyal, Akshay Oberoi, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Abhay Verma, Saurabh Shukla and others. It’s exciting first look teaser was launched on November 2, on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday. The film arrives in cinemas on December 24, 2026.

About Fighter

Fighter, set in 2019, tells the story of an Indian Air Force unit called Air Dragons, comprising Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania aka Patty (Hrithik Roshan), Squadron Leader Minal Rathore aka Minni (Deepika Padukone), Squadron Leader Sartaj Gill (Karan Singh Grover), Squadron Leader Basheer Khan (Akshay Oberoi), Sukhi (Banveen Singh) and others.
