The much-anticipated song ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ from upcoming film O’Romeo was unveiled yesterday at a high-profile event in Mumbai, instantly grabbing attention for its desi swagger and infectious energy. The launch turned into a spectacle, with paan stalls set up across the city and Shahid Kapoor taking over the stage alongside a flash mob, creating a moment that quickly became the talk of the town. Adding to the excitement, Triptii Dimri joined Shahid on stage for the flash mob performance, giving audiences a first glimpse of the fresh on-screen pairing dancing together.

The duo’s easy chemistry and the song’s street-style vibe made the live performance one of the standout moments of the evening. Speaking about the making of Paan Ki Dukaan, Shahid Kapoor shared an interesting behind-the-scenes detail, revealing that the song was shot without any prior rehearsals. He said, “Paan ki Dukaan ka shoot humne end mein kiya, we were shooting for Aashiqon ki colony. Vishal Sir aye mere pass aur bole yeh dusra gaana jo hain woh bhi karle, logon ko yeh gaana bohot pasand aane wala hain. Maine reharsals ki nahi thi iss gaane ki. We started shooting for Paan ki Dukaan just the next day we wrapped Aashiqon ki Colony. Jo bhi steps huye jo bhi planning huyi yeh set pe tha, wahi pe seekha wahi pe kar diya (We shot ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ towards the end of the schedule, when we were already filming ‘Aashiqon Ki Colony’. Vishal sir came up to me and suggested that we shoot this second song as well, saying that audiences were really going to enjoy it. I didn’t rehearse for the song at all. We began shooting ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ the very next day after wrapping ‘Aashiqon Ki Colony’. All the steps and planning happened on set — I learned everything there and performed it right then and there).”
The actor’s comments underline the spontaneous nature of the track, which appears to mirror the raw, unfiltered energy that the song brings to screen. Since its release, ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ has been gaining traction online, with fans praising its catchy rhythm, lively choreography, and Shahid Kapoor’s effortless screen presence. The song is already shaping up to be a crowd favourite and adds another vibrant layer to the musical landscape of O’Romeo.
