Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have officially moved into their sprawling new six-storey residence in Mumbai’s Pali Hill area a home they’ve named “Krishna Raj”. During a recent event in Dubai, Alia shared with the audience, “Coming to Dubai feels like a homecoming. This visit comes from a very personal space as we have just moved into our new home in Mumbai.”
The couple’s new address occupies the former residence of legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s grandmother, Krishna Raj Kapoor, lending the house both legacy and grandeur. The grey-coloured structure, complete with glass-balconies, has quickly become one of Mumbai’s most talked-about homes.
When asked about his social-media presence, Ranbir confirmed that he maintains a private “finsta” (fake Instagram account) to observe content quietly. “There are such amazing people in the world who do such amazing work and I do watch and follow them. But because I am an actor I do not officially want to be on Instagram as then I will have a responsibility to really show myself to the world. But I felt that I already have a medium, which is through acting and in movies, and that’s enough to show myself to the worlds.”
Alia added a sweet personal detail on that private account, “Ranbir has “just two reels, both featuring him playing with his daughter Raha. He has zero followers, he doesn’t even let me follow him, and he manually shows me the clips instead. Once I follow him, then it’ll be out that I have an Instagram account.”
The reveal offers a glimpse into the couple’s more private world the new home they’re building, and the family-first approach they’re maintaining to social media and public life.
