Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor recently paid a heartfelt tribute to her late mother, Sridevi, during a special screening of her upcoming film Homebound in Mumbai. The screening followed the film’s international debut at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received widespread attention and was later announced as India’s official entry for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound stars Janhvi alongside Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa. As the team gathered to celebrate the film’s journey with a special premiere for industry colleagues, Janhvi chose to mark the occasion in a deeply personal way.

For the evening, Janhvi wore a royal blue saree once worn by her late mother, legendary actress Sridevi. The saree originally made an appearance at Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding reception in 2017, and has since remained a memorable look among fans of the late star. Much like her mother’s original styling, Janhvi paired the saree with traditional gold jewellery and styled her hair in a neat bun, staying true to the elegance of the ensemble.
