Varun Dhawan recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of his film Street Dancer 3D with a nostalgic social media post. He shared a series of throwback photos and a video, marking the milestone. The film, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role, remains a fan favourite.
Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram Stories to share a poster of Street Dancer 3D along with a video to mark the film’s 5th anniversary. Directed by Remo D’Souza, the movie was a visual spectacle centered on competitive street dancing. Released in 2020, it featured Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, and Nora Fatehi in prominent roles.
Varun Dhawan is currently filming Border 2 and has been keeping fans engaged with regular updates from the set, building excitement for the project. Recently, he shared another behind-the-scenes glimpse of the shooting location. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film’s first schedule is being shot in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.
Varun Dhawan shared a video on his Instagram Stories, offering fans a glimpse of the foggy shooting location and his vehicle trailing an Army van. Captioning it, “Border 2 Day 6,” the actor added to the excitement surrounding the film. Border 2 features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in lead roles and is set to hit the big screens on Republic Day 2026. Shot in the secluded military cantonment areas of Jhansi, the film promises a gripping storyline, intense action, and heartfelt drama, capturing raw emotions and heroism.
Back in August 2024, Varun Dhawan shared his excitement about being part of Border 2 in a heartfelt post on X. He wrote, “Playing a role in Border 2, produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar, is a very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji, which makes it even more amazing. I am excited to put a heroic Jawaan’s narrative to the screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film. I seek your well wishes. Jai Hind!”
Varun Dhawan was recently seen in the action thriller Baby John. Directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, the film unfortunately failed to perform at the box office.
