Best known for blockbuster films like the K.G.F franchise, Kantara, and Salaar, the production house has a long-standing association with filmmaker Prashanth Neel, who has worked with them for films like K.G.F and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. As the filmmaker celebrates his birthday on June, the production house has wished the director with a special mention, appreciating and applauding his fantastic work along with Prabhas who worked with him in Salaar.

Furthermore, Prabhas, who rarely takes to Instagram, also shared a story on the platform along with a photo from the sets of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, wherein he wrote, “Love You Sir, have a beautiful birthday (smile emoji)”.
Interestingly, both Hombale Films and Prabhas will soon be reuniting with filmmaker Prashanth Neel for the second part of Salaar, which is expected to be a trilogy. Speaking of the franchise, set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the first part of the film, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire traces the friendship between Varadharajan Mannar and Deva aka Salaar who decide to reunite after years to bring down the enemies of Khansaar and help the former inherit his throne. But tables will turn in the second half as it is unveiled that Deva aka Salaar is the true inheritor of the Khansaar throne which is now occupied by Varadharajan Mannar aka Prithviraj Sukumaran. The sequel is titled as Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam.
