Nayanthara has faced trolling over rumours of cosmetic surgery to alter her facial features. However, in a recent interview, the actress debunked these claims, explaining that her changing appearance over the years is due to factors other than surgery.
In an interview with Hautterfly, Nayanthara dismissed speculations about having cosmetic surgery on her face. She said, “Maybe that’s why a lot of people think that I’ve done something to my face. But that’s not true. On record, not true. It’s not that it’s wrong, but for me, it has just been diet. So there’s been a lot of weight fluctuation and my cheeks go in and out. You can pinch me, burn me, and you’ll know there’s no plastic in here.”
In the same conversation, Nayanthara shared that she has a habit of doing her own eyebrows for every event, calling it a “total game changer” and a reason her appearance has varied over the years. “I’ve had different brow faces over the years. Maybe that’s why people think my face is changing, and I keep looking different,” she stated.
Rumors of Nayanthara undergoing facial cosmetic surgery had circulated for some time, but the Annaatthe actress only addressed them recently. Her clarification has now debunked these ongoing speculations among netizens.
On the work front, Nayanthara was last seen in Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food and has a busy slate of upcoming projects. First up is Test, a sports drama directed by S. Sashikanth, where she stars alongside R. Madhavan and Siddharth.
The film follows three individuals whose lives are changed by events at a cricket match. She will also appear with Nivin Pauly in the Malayalam film Dear Students, which she co-produced with Pauly. Additionally, she stars in the Tamil drama Manangatti Since 1960, directed by newcomer Dude Vicky, and has an untitled project with Kavin.
