Ruslaan starring Aayush Sharma, Sushrii Mishraa, Jagapathi Babu and Vidya Malvade is directed by Karan L Butani and produced by Sri Sathya Sai Arts and the music of the film is with Saregama. The film is all set to release on April 26.

Ram Charan joins hands with Pushpa filmmaker Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers for RC17

In a ground-breaking collaboration, renowned director Sukumar and global sensation Ram Charan are set to team up for an epic cinematic venture. Following the monumental success of SS Rajamouli’s film RRR, Ram Charan’s alliance with Sukumar marks another milestone in the actor’s illustrious career. In fact, the announcement has come just a day after the second anniversary of RRR, which was directed by SS Rajamouli and also starred Junior NTR.

While Ram Charan became a global icon after the blockbuster success of RRR, Sukumar became a household name as his Pushpa: The Rise franchise took the nation by storm. Along with Telugu, the film also became a major success in the non-south regions through its Hindi dubbed version.

Maidaan director Amit Sharma on Priyamani replacing Keerthy Suresh in Ajay Devgn-starrer: “I had a very specific vision in mind”

The upcoming biographical sports drama Maidaan has been in the news for a while now, especially regarding its cast. Back in 2019, South Indian star Keerthy Suresh was announced to play the lead opposite Ajay Devgn. However, she later exited the project. In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, director Amit Sharma finally addressed the speculation surrounding Keerthy’s replacement.

Confirming that Keerthy was initially cast, Amit explained, “Yes, that was the plan. But Keerthy Suresh had lost a lot of weight. For the character of Syed Abdul Rahim’s (played by Devgn) wife, I had a very specific vision in mind. Unfortunately, due to her weight loss, I felt she wouldn’t be the right fit.”

The film revolves around the legendary Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, played by Ajay Devgn. Amit further stated, “Syed Abdul Rahim’s wife is a crucial character. We needed someone who embodied a certain look and felt Priyamani Raj was a better fit for the part.”

This isn’t the first collaboration between director Amit Sharma and producer Boney Kapoor. Their previous project was the 2015 film Tevar starring Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. The filmmaker credits Boney for introducing him to Rahim’s story, a tale that left him “teary-eyed.”

“Boney ji called me for a story and wanted me to meet him,” Amit recalls. “He told me about Syed Abdul Rahim. I had no idea about him and barely knew anything about football. But the story itself moved me so much that I knew it had to be told.”

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla, the screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively, Music is by AR Rahman and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. The film is all set to release worldwide in theatres on Eid, 2024, also in IMAX.

Speaking of their wedding, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani got married as per the Punjabi and Sindhi rituals on February 21 against the beachy backdrop of the lawn in ITC Grand, Goa. The couple also hosted a series of pre-wedding celebrations which included the Mehendi, Sangeet, Haldi, and even a cocktail bash for their friends, family, and other special guests who attended the ceremonies.

Bollywood Hungama on March 13 reported that the trailer will be out on March 26. Jackky Bhagnani revealed, “We’ll go full throttle with the (launch of this) song.” He also explained why they started the promotions way back in January-end though the film will release in the second week of April. “We felt that the kind of penetration we want for a film of this scale, 4 weeks might not be enough. That’s why we went for an 8-week campaign. Thanks to the digital age, it’s easy to reach out to the urban centres. But in tier-2 and tier-3 centres, it takes time. Even though the digital revolution has happened, a lot of people still get information through traditional media.”

At the recent India Today Conclave 2024, Akshay said, “Throughout the film, we tried to do our stunts. Minimal VFX has been used and the locations are also real. We have shot in Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Scotland, Glasgow and the UK. In this film, I have tried to raise the bar and in real life, he (Tiger Shroff) has raised the roof. I got to learn a lot from him and he is very professional. I have seen him doing warm-up, and stretching before doing every stunt. He has a long way to go.”

Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment present Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in association with AAZ films.
